FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – A second candidate has been nominated for the Electoral Area B Director position in the ongoing by-election.
The Peace River Regional District has announced the second nominee in the Electoral Area B By-election, bringing the total number of candidates to two prior to the closing of the nomination period.
Reid Graham, the current Alternate Director for Electoral Area B, was the second and final nominee entered into the by-election, which the district announced on January 17th.
Graham describes himself as an Area B resident in the Cecil Lake area. He has worked most of his life as a mechanic in the oil and gas industry. He now owns a small farm in the region and has served as the alternate director for a year.
“I believe some continuity in this position is key, and I have been very involved in the past year on the committees and societies that I currently serve on,” Graham wrote in his nomination documents.
Graham took over responsibilities from Area B Director Jordan Kealy, who resigned from the position following his election as the MLA for Peace River North.
As the nomination period for the by-election closed on January 17th, no more nominations were accepted by the district.
