DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The South Peace Search and Rescue (SPSAR) is thanking ARC Resources for a recent donation to the organization.

SPSAR announced the donation in a Facebook post on January 13th, 2025.

“This incredible contribution will directly support the advancement of our team’s training, ensuring we are always prepared to respond effectively and keep our community safe,” says the post.

“With your support, we can enhance our skills, refine our techniques, and continue providing the critical search and rescue services that our region relies on.”

According to ARC Resources, $6,000 was provided for the SPSAR Heli Training Program.

“We’re proud to support the incredible rescue efforts of this volunteer-led organization,” says ARC Resources field manager Terry Harder.

“Their selfless dedication to saving lives through specialized training and rescue operations is a cause that inspires ARC and our employees, and we’re honoured to contribute to their mission of providing critical aid.”

Entirely volunteer-run by local Peace River South community residents, the SPSAR team is trained and certified by the Ministry of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness.
