Happy New Year! As we head into 2025, we wanted to take a moment to look back at the year that was 2024. From wildfires to Site C nearing completion to the provincial election, our reporters were on the ground in the community covering these important stories. - Two Diversions Hit Dawson Creek Hospital: over the weekend of December 28-29, 2024. Northern Health announced that the closures were due to “staffing challenges.”
- The Hitching Post Pub Opens Soon: in Fort St John. Local resident Danny Lapine took to Facebook to announce the imminent opening of his restaurant and pay tribute to Casey’s Pub and Grill.
- Guns and Drugs Seized: during a traffic stop in Fort St John. Police officers say “a little dishonesty” during the traffic stop led to a 39-year-old woman being arrested.
