FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Peace Gallery North has announced “Realm of Fantasy” as its first exhibit in the new year.

According to the gallery’s January newsletter, the exhibit focuses on the “endless possibilities of the fantasy world and limitlessness of imagination.”

“This exhibit is the celebration of what happens when artists let themselves be challenged, as well as a testament and encouragement to other creatives to let go and see where whimsy can take you,” the newsletter reads.

The exhibit was created by local artists Lane Casavant and Valerie Ross.

Casavant credits her family for her love of art, including her grandparents, who encouraged her to experiment with different mediums.

Casavant’s grandfather is described as one of her biggest influences and introduced her to woodworking as a teenager.

On the other hand, Ross is described as living a “semi-nomadic life” and getting inspiration for her artwork from different places she visits around Canada.

Afterward, the exhibit will run until February 1st, 2025.
