Northern Health has announced that Fort St. John and Prince George have welcomed their first babies of the new year.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Northern Health has announced that Fort St. John and Prince George have welcomed their first babies of the new year.
A baby girl, Cori Rae Rouble, was born at Fort St. John Hospital on January 2nd, 2025, at 7:46 a.m.
Weighing six pounds and 15 ounces, baby Cori was welcomed by her parents, Samantha and Bradyn of Taylor, and her older brother Myles.
Prince George’s baby was announced as a boy at the University Hospital of Northern BC on January 1st at 2:13 p.m. to Natalie and William Lo.
According to the B.C. Government, the first baby born in the province was a baby boy named Emerson.
Emerson was born to parents Jordan and Elijah Hill at 12:02 a.m. PT on Wednesday, January 1st, in Kamloops.
According to the B.C. Lottery Corporation, Fort St. John’s Hospital and Birthing Centre was listed at odds of 50 to 1 among 23 hospitals for where the province’s first baby of 2025 will be born.
