A Grande Prairie-based trucking and hauling company has announced its purchase of a local oilfield trucking company in an effort to become “a part of [the] Fort St. John community.”

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A Grande Prairie-based trucking and hauling company has announced its purchase of a local oilfield trucking company in an effort to become “a part of [the] Fort St. John community.”

J.D.A Ventures Limited announced the acquisition of Fort St. John’s Maxim Industries Incorporated on December 19th, in a post to social media.

According to the post, the company feels that “Fort St. John is on the brink of a big upturn with [liquid natural gas].”

“We had talked for a long time that this would be the next place we would open up a shop,” the post reads. 

“We want to be different, though, we are not just an Alberta company looking to capitalize on a small town BC market. We truly want to be established in this area.”

The post goes on to say that J.D.A’s leadership knew Maxim would be a good fit for their business model as soon as they met Owner and President Jason Taylor.

“We would like to welcome Jason and the Maxim team, and we look forward to continued success in the region,” the post concludes.
