New creative room at FSJACL to be named after Fire Fighters Association

On Thursday, The Fort St. John Professional Fire Fighters Association announced on Facebook that a new creative art room will be named in their honour.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — On Thursday, the Fort St. John Professional Fire Fighters Association announced on Facebook that a new creative art room will be named in their honour. 

The association donated $20,000 to the Fort St. John Association for Community Living’s (FSJACL) Art Room Renovation project and posed for a picture on December 4th.

To commemorate the donation, the FSJACL has decided to name the renovated space after the Fire Fighters Association.

“This new space will soon be filled with creativity, inspiration, and opportunities for community members of all abilities and needs to explore art, connect, and grow,” a social media post from the association reads.

“Supporting initiatives that empower and inspire is at the heart of our mission, and we can’t wait to see the incredible things that will come to life in this special room.”

In another post, members of the FSJACL said they were “honoured” to meet with the Fire Fighters Association and receive the donation, which they called “generous.”

The Fort St. John Professional Fire Fighters Association is a volunteer organization comprised of professional firefighters dedicated to raising money for the community.
