After the test showed a “warn” reading, the driver started fighting with the officers, with one receiving minor injuries.
Officers were forced to use OC spray and arrest the driver without further incident.
The arrested individual was later given treatment for the OC spray.
Prince George Media Relations Officer Corporal Jennifer Cooper says the arrest is a reminder for intoxicated drivers to stay safe.

“This is a reminder, now that the holiday season is upon us, to look for other means of transportation if you are going to be consuming alcohol or cannabis,” says Cooper.
Cooper recommends Operation Red Nose, a program providing alternate rides to help prevent impaired individuals from driving on the roads during the holiday season.
“Phoning a friend, calling a cab, or waiting for public transportation. All of these are terrific options if you find yourself celebrating more than you intended,” said Cooper.
The impaired driver was released later that day but received a three-day license suspension and a car impoundment for the same period of time.
Operation Red Nose’s next operating night is Friday, December 6th, 2024, from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.
