The Prince George RCMP detachment has announced a collaboration with local businesses to gather donations for the Salvation Army.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Prince George RCMP detachment has announced a collaboration with local businesses to gather donations for the Salvation Army.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on December 14th, at Save-On-Foods locations across Prince George, RCMP members and volunteers will be gathering donations of non-perishable food, toiletries and unwrapped gifts.
The goal of the event is to ‘cram’ a police cruiser with donations of items, cash and gift cards. Some items the RCMP list as examples include peanut butter, canned beans in sauce, rolled or instant oats, canned vegetables, canned soup, pasta, rice, coffee or tea, feminine hygiene products and size five or six diapers and pull ups.

“We will fill our police cruisers with donations as many times as we can during the day. The Salvation Army has been generous in assisting our Victim Services program over the years and this is our way of returning that generosity,” Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP said in a press release.
