The society is also recruiting volunteers to help with its services around the province. Volunteers would connect with the community, spread awareness, and help implement the programs.

“We are also focusing on recruiting local volunteers who can help create connections within the community, spread awareness, and support the implementation of our programs,” said Rexhaj.

CCS volunteers would also speak with local organizations or groups and attend local events, potentially giving presentations to promote cancer initiatives.

In September, the 2024 Cops for Cancer Tour de North made its way through the city, raising money for the society.

The Fort St. John Cancer Support Circles Society also provides services for those affected by cancer.
