The utility also intends to haul off aggregates on the dam site before December 13th. At the powerhouse, electrical installations continue, and crews prepare the facility to receive 500-kilovolt transmission lines in the new year.

Installations of turbine and generator components on Units 4, 5, and 6 are ongoing, and commissioning for Units 2 and 3 are underway as the project continues. Currently, only Unit 1 is in operation and generating electricity.

As temperatures continue to dip, removal of wood debris from the forebay of the project has been paused. Removal will resume at the end of winter, as well as work at D.A. Thomas Road and the Hudson’s Hope recreational site.

Reclamation of the dam site will continue throughout December, and minor erosion and sediment repair work continues on one of the transmission lines.
