Public hearing rescheduled for Co-op development application
The City of Fort St. John council has voted to reschedule a public hearing for a zoning amendment bylaw application.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John council has voted to reschedule a public hearing for a zoning amendment bylaw application.
During the November 12th regular meeting of council, an application for a zoning bylaw amendment was tentatively approved, pending public opinion. The application is for further development of a Co-op property near 100th Street and 114A Avenue.
The development would see the property undergo construction to add a second car wash, two commercial retail units, including one drive-thru restaurant, additional outdoor seating areas, walking paths, and greenspace.
The public hearing was previously scheduled for November 25th; however, due to the ongoing postal workers’ strike, the city council and staff concluded that some residents may not have gotten their posted notices regarding the public hearing.
Due to this possible delay, the public hearing was formally rescheduled during the November 25th council meeting to December 9th. It will take place in the City Hall Council Chambers at 6 p.m.
