Free Santa photos offered at Festival Plaza on Saturday

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John Sunrise Rotary Club is hosting Photos with Santa for its third year this Saturday. 

“We’re just helping those that can’t, you know, can’t afford photos,” says Kim Van, the Rotary Club’s lead organizer.

According to Van, the event will have a professional photographer, Ali Steeves, offering three photos. 

“We always have a guest photographer that will help us out. This year, we have Ali Steeves, and you can come and get your pictures done with Santa,” says Van. 

The event will be held at the Festival Plaza on November 30th, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“The kids love our Santa, and we’ve got an antique sleigh that was donated by a Rotarian, and everybody comes together and helps out,” said Van. 

Kids can enjoy hot chocolate from the Fort St. John Library while waiting for the photo.

The Rotary Club will accept donations at the event, and the Salvation Army will also have a bin for food bank donations and a kettle for financial donations.

Any pets brought for the photos must have them under control. 

The Rotary Club will also be at the Santa Clause Parade on December 7th.
