Prince George RCMP restarts firearms investigation

The Prince George RCMP is renewing its investigation into a firearms incident that occurred in August 2024.

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — The Prince George RCMP is renewing its investigation into a firearms incident that occurred in August 2024. 

On August 23rd, police received a report at 6 p.m. of shots fired near the 1700 block of Upland Street.

According to the RCMP, two men were seen walking through the area, one of whom was carrying a firearm.

“Police officers are looking to speak to these two individuals in relation to this investigation,”  says Corporal Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP.

The two suspects were last seen near the housing complex on the corner of 17 Avenue and Massey Drive.

“We are hoping that someone in Prince George will recognize them and let our investigators know who they are and where they are currently residing,” states Cooper.

The first suspect is described as a tall man wearing a long-sleeved red sweatshirt, black ball cap, and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as a shorter, heavy-set man wearing a black Metal Mulisha hoody and black shorts.

Anyone with information related to the investigation is urged to contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300, using file number 2024-27826.
