PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — The Northern Health Authority has launched a survey for people discharged from their Intensive Care Units (ICUs) or caregivers of those patients in the Northern Health region in the last two years.

“Your participation will provide us with valuable information that will be used to improve the primary healthcare system in our community,” according to the Northern Health survey.

The survey will help gather information on the patient’s experiences after discharge and follow-up care services in order to develop an assessment report for a Shared Care project with the health authority.

“This project is working to develop an ICU follow-up program to assess and manage the complex needs of patients after being discharged,” says the survey.

Questions include which area in the region you live in, if you have support from physicians or other health care workers, difficulties after an ICU discharge, and more.

The anonymous survey will protect personal information and includes optional questions.
