The City of Dawson Creek celebrated residents’ excellence with the 2024 Dawson Creek Community Awards banquet and gala on Thursday, November 7th, in the Ovintiv Events Centre.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The City of Dawson Creek celebrated residents’ excellence with the 2024 Dawson Creek Community Awards banquet and gala on Thursday, November 7th, in the Ovintiv Events Centre.
A Facebook post from the city called the event a ‘fantastic evening’ and thanked its hosts and sponsors.
“While the awards have been around for many years, it was only last year in 2023 that council asked Community Futures to help elevate these awards, to which they responded by developing a beautiful gala,” read the post.

This year, new categories were reportedly added to highlight more people who make the community a vibrant place to live and work.
The gala was hosted by the Community Futures Peace Liard, a non-profit organization assisting start-up businesses.
The community awards and winners include:
