FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The second-ever Booze Clues fundraiser at the Lido Theatre will happen on November 16th, hosted by the Canadian Parents for French Fort St. John Chapter.

The premise of the event is very simple: trivia in several categories—including B.C. trivia, Canadian Trivia, World History, and even Sports…with the consumption of alcohol encouraged.

The event motto is “Can you think when you drink?” student Lauryn Campbell dropped by the Moose FM studios to discuss the event with Midday Show host Bernard Conner-Suen.

“It’s essentially a trivia night,” said Campbell.  “I think the first time they did it was last year. A lot of planning does go into it.”

“It’s not the French Immersion class that plans it. We do have facilitators doing that for us, which we’re very grateful for. It means a lot for the French Immersion class for [the public] to come to the event.”

Proceeds from the event will go toward bursaries for the French Immersion grade 12 students and a gala dinner for their graduation.

“For people to come to this event, we’ll be able to have that last dinner before we all go off to university,” said Campbell.

“Booze Clues: the Sequel” will be held on Saturday, November 16th, at the Lido Theatre on 10156 100th Avenue in Fort St. John.

Doors will open at 7:00 p.m., and Trivia will start at 8:00 p.m.  Entry fees will be $35.

More details can be found at the event’s Facebook page.
