FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Dawson Creek council has declared the first week of November to be Crime Prevention Week. 

A delegation from the South Peace District Crime Prevention Association appeared before Mayor Darcy Dober and councillors to request the proclamation to ‘commemorate the importance of crime prevention and to actively participate in and raise awareness of crime prevention programs.’ 

Following a unanimous vote of approval from council, the week of November 1st to 7th has been declared Crime Prevention Week in the City of Dawson Creek.
