Fort St. John wins award for workplace safety

The City of Fort St. John has received a provincial award for workplace safety and organization.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John has received a provincial award for workplace safety and organization.

During the October 28th regular council meeting, Mayor Lilia Hansen and councillors presented staff members with an award from the BC Municipal Safety Association for organizational safety.

The award is given to local governments that demonstrate ‘outstanding commitment to organizational practices aimed at improving worker health and safety,’ according to Mayor Lilia Hansen.
