FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality (NRRM) has issued a water usage warning in the Fort Nelson Region.

Residents who are rural property owners in Rural West are being encouraged to check their connections to the town water system, as the municipality has seen an increase of between 100,000 and 150,000 liters of water use per day.

According to a Facebook notice published at noon on October 10th, this increase may be linked to ‘unreported or unknown leaks in the area.’

Any leaks located by citizens are to be reported to the NRRM Public Works department at 250-774-2541 extension 2090.
