Electoral Area D Director to host community meetings in October

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Electoral Area D Director Leonard Hiebert will hold a series of community meetings in October to share regional initiatives and discuss residents’ priorities and concerns. 

Hiebert says he is looking forward to meeting as many residents as possible. 

“These meetings are a critical opportunity to connect with the people in Area D to hear their priorities and to share what their local government is doing for them,” said Hiebert.

According to the Peace River Regional District (PRRD), its directors are committed to being transparent with its constituents through accessibility and public participation. 

The meetings will be held on the following dates and locations:

• October 15th at Tower Lake Community Center

• October 16th at Rolla Community Hall

• October 21st at Bessborough Community Hall

• October 22nd at Tupper Community Hall

• October 28th at Kelly Lake Community Center

• October 29th at Pouce Coupe Seniors Hall

All meetings will start at 6 p.m. 

PRRD staff members say a Northern Development Initiative Trust representative will attend the October 28th and 29th meetings to present their priorities to residents. 

“One of my goals is to continue to strengthen ties between the rural areas and the Regional District,” said Hiebert.
