FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The City of Fort St. John has launched what it calls the Let’s Talk Official Community Plan engagement process, offering residents the opportunity to help shape Fort St. John’s future development.

City staff will allow residents to share their thoughts at public and online events as it prepares to update its Official Community Plan (OCP), a document outlining a long-term vision for the city.

“Our OCP reflects the community’s vision for Fort St. John, and we want to hear from you. Your feedback will help shape how we grow, where we live, and how we create a sustainable and vibrant city for everyone,” said Hansen.

The city is updating its OCP in response to the B.C. government’s ‘Homes for People Action Plan’ expanding housing options across the province.

“Whether it’s housing, transportation, economic development, or community health, this is your opportunity to make a difference,” said Hansen.
