FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Northeast BC Predators Rep girls’ hockey teams are set to host their pre-season tryout camp starting on August 23rd.

The combine for the team will be hosted at two venues: Pomeroy Sports Centre, located at 9324 96th Street in Fort St. John, and the Kin Arena at 1101 106th Avenue in Dawson Creek.

According to a Facebook post, the camps will feature conditioning and skills components, including scrimmages for returnees and new hopefuls.

Attendees for each camp are encouraged to bring a water bottle and runners for the fitness portion of the combine.

The U-13 girls will start the camp by participating in skills competitions on Friday afternoon. The competitions will start at 12:15 p.m. and run for just over an hour, ending at 1:30 p.m.

After a skills competition featuring the U-15 players, a second skills competition for the U-13 girls commences at 3:15 p.m, followed by fitness training for the younger girls at 5:15 p.m.

On day two, both squads will hold scrimmages, with the U-13s holding two games from 3:15 to 8:15 p.m. at the Kin Arena.

The U-15’s will hold a scrimmage at the Pomeroy on Saturday evening from 7:45 until 9:45 p.m., after the U-18 team holds a drill session from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m.

On Sunday, the U-15 participants will have an early skills competition beginning at 8:00 a.m., followed by fitness training at 10:00 a.m. at the Pomeroy alongside U-18 hopefuls.

Scrimmages will take place for the older teams starting at 12:45 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. (U-18), 5:15 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. (U-15) and 7:15  until 9:30 p.m. (U-18).
