Suspect in June 1st break-in comes forward

The Fort St. John RCMP detachment has concluded an investigation into a June 1st break-in after the potential suspect came forward to police.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John RCMP detachment has concluded an investigation into a June 1st break-in after the potential suspect came forward to police. 

The investigation started after two suspects broke into Fort Bowling Lanes on June 1st, stealing a backpack full of liquor from the premises.

Fort St. John RCMP put out a request on June 7th for public assistance in identifying a man they wanted to question regarding a “suspicious occurrence” on the day prior.

On June 28th, the suspect self identified himself to the RCMP and cooperated with the investigation going forward. 

The detachment says ‘the file has been concluded.’
