Police seeking dashcam footage, witnesses to fatal Fort Nelson collision

Police officers are working to gather more information regarding a fatal collision near Fort Nelson that took place on the weekend.

FORT NELSON, B.C. — Police officers are working to gather more information regarding a fatal collision near Fort Nelson that took place on the weekend.

Officers say the incident took place near Dawson Way and the CVSE scales on Highway 97, south of the city, on August 11th.

Police were called to the scene shortly before 4:00 in the morning. Reportedly, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and passed away at the scene from their injuries.

Officers say they’re looking for any witnesses to the incident that haven’t already spoken to police, as well as dashcam footage between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m. on the 11th.
