The emergency alert was prompted by a 150-hectare wildfire burning south of Highway 49 in the Gordondale area.

According to Saddle Hills County, the evacuation order was rescinded and replaced with an evacuation alert around 10:30 p.m. on August 4th.

The wildfire was classified as ‘out of control’ over the weekend but has since been brought under control. The evacuation alert for the Gundy area has since been rescinded.
