According to the release, the RCMP detachments in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, and the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality are all recruiting for “non-limited duration” contracts.
Meanwhile, the detachments in Chetwynd, Tumbler Ridge, and Fort Nelson are recruiting officers for a four-year term, and the Hudson’s Hope detachment is recruiting officers for a three-year term.
After those limited-duration contracts end, the RCMP says officers can extend their contracts and remain in the community long-term or “apply to specialized units or other communities to gain more experience in their careers.”
