FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed out from the Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, and Fort Nelson Provincial Courts from July 22nd to 26th.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, July 23rd:

Michael Scott Harrison (born 1966):

Harrison was found guilty of assault causing bodily harm for an incident committed on November 15th, 2023. Harrison was issued a $1,000 fine and a $300 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping victims of a crime.

Fort Nelson Provincial Court sentencing, July 23rd:

Jaydon Dominick Diblasio (born 2001):

Diblasio was found guilty of assault by choking and two counts of breaching a release order for incidents in Fort Nelson and Taylor between November of 2023 and June of 2024.

Diblasio was sentendced to jail time served and received three 12-month probation orders.

Christopher Wayne Zarbock (born 1989):

Zarbock was found guilty of driving while their license was suspended for an incident in Fort Nelson on November 23rd, 2023. Zarbock was issued a $500 fine and a $75.00 victim surcharge.

Fort Nelson Provincial Court Sentencing, July 25th:

Ryan Eric Whitehead (born 1995):

Whitehead was found guilty of assault and breaching an undertaking, for incidents in Fort Nelson in June of 2024. Whitehead was sentenced to jail time served and received two 12-month probation orders.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, July 26th:

Dwayne Leon Testawitch (born 1971):

Testawitch was found guilty of aggravated assault, using a firearm while committing an indictable offense, and uttering threats, for an incident in Fort St. John that took place on June 16th, 2023.

Testawitch was issued a conditional sentence lasting a total of two years and 89 days, which is a sentence to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called “house arrest.” 

Testawitch was also issued two two-year probation orders, ordered to report for DNA sample collection, and received a lifetime mandatory firearm prohibition.

Gavin James Lee Davis (born 1989):

Davis was found guilty of possession for the purposes of trafficking, possessing a firearm without license or registration, knowingly possessing a firearm without authorization, and possessing a firearm contrary to an order, for an incident in Fort St. John on March 18th, 2022.

Davis was sentenced to a combined total of 224 days in jail, received a mandatory lifetime firearm prohibition, and was ordered to report for DNA sample collection.
