Fort St. John property tax collection surges ahead of 2023

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John’s Finance department presented the Council with an update showing that property tax collection was ahead of schedule compared to last year.

During the July 22nd regular council meeting, a brief update was shared showing that approximately 88 per cent of the total property taxes due for 2024 were paid by the July 2nd due date.

According to the report, this is an increase from last year, when around 86 per cent of property taxes due were received by the due date.
