FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — RCMP Staff Sergeant Scott Watson says someone was arrested for allegedly trying to deposit a stolen cheque at a bank in downtown Fort St. John.

Watson says police were called to the Bank of Montreal at the corner of 102nd Avenue and 100th Street in the afternoon of July 16th.

“I do know that a member asked for additional resources, because there was multiple people in [the arrested man’s] car,” Watson adds, saying there’s no threat to public safety.
