UPDATE – Highway 97 open south of the Pine Pass

Highway 97 is closed in both directions due to a collision south of the Pine Pass.

UPDATED as of 12:30 a.m. July 17, 2024 – The highway is open with single lane alternating traffic in the area of the collision.


CHETWYND, B.C. – Highway 97 is closed in both directions due to a collision south of the Pine Pass.

Drivebc.ca says the highway is closed 24 km south of the Pine Pass.

The collision is between the Kennedy and Azu Sub roads.

The highway could re-open by 2 a.m. Wednesday.
