Silverberry Secure Landfill to possibly undergo new management

SECURE Energy Services Inc. has applied to the B.C. Environmental Assessment Office (EAO) to transfer the environment assessment certificate for Silverberry Secure Landfill north of Fort St. John.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — SECURE Energy Services Inc. has applied to the B.C. Environmental Assessment Office (EAO) to transfer the environment assessment certificate for Silverberry Secure Landfill north of Fort St. John.

Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, SECURE provides waste management with 75 facilities in western Canada and North Dakota. 

The certificate for the landfill will be transferred to R360 Environmental Solutions Canada Inc.

According to their website, R360 offers oilfield waste solutions, including the treatment, recovery, and disposal of various waste streams, including liquid and solid waste such as sludge, water, oil, and solid waste. 

SECURE applied for the transfer after an agreement was registered on February 1st, 2024. 

As part of the agreement, R360 will become the sole owner of the project.
