Apsassin was found guilty of a lesser included charge of assault for an incident in Taylor on October 15th, 2023. Apsassin was issued a conditional discharge, a 12-month probation order, and a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping victims of a crime. A conditional discharge means the record won’t show a conviction if a person meets the conditions the judge sets.
