Fort St. John Provincial Court sentences, June 27th

Apsassin was found guilty of a lesser included charge of assault for an incident in Taylor on October 15th, 2023. Apsassin was issued a conditional discharge, a 12-month probation order, and a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping victims of a crime. A conditional discharge means the record won’t show a conviction if a person meets the conditions the judge sets.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentences, June 28th

Terry Evan Parkinson (born 1981):

Parkinson was issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for one charge of assault with a weapon over an incident in Dawson Creek on July 17th, 2023. If they break the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay a $500 fine.
