Fort St. John Provincial Court sentences, June 10th:
Marshall Tyler Merrit Bisson (born 1971):

Bisson was found guilty of assault for an incident in Fort St. John on November 14th, 2023. Bisson was issued a conditional discharge, a 12-month probation order, and a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping victims of a crime. A conditional discharge means the record won’t show a conviction if a person meets the conditions the judge sets.
Corwin Wade Dool (born 1972):
Dool was found guilty of uttering threats for an incident in Fort St. John on Halloween 2023. Dool was issued a suspended sentence, where the accused is given conditions to follow. They also received a 12-month probation order and a $100 victim surcharge.

McLeod was found guilty of possession for the purposes of trafficking for an incident in Fort St. John on January 2nd, 2020. McLeod was issued a 9-month conditional sentence, which is a sentence to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called “house arrest.” McLeod was also issued a 10-year mandatory firearm prohibition and ordered to report for DNA sample collection.

Damion Arthur Wayne Lock (born 2002):
Lock was issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for a charge of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, for an incident in Kilkerran, B.C. on August 6th, 2023. If they break the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay a $500 fine.
Clayton Peter Rhode (born 1987):
Rhode was found guilty of fraud over $5,000, for an incident in Dawson Creek on July 24th, 2015. Rhode was issued an 18-month conditional sentence, a 6-month probation order, and a $200 victim surcharge. Rhode was also ordered to pay $25,000 in restitution, which requires the offender to pay the victim for financial losses the victim suffered because of the crime.
Brian Jason Schwieger (born 1980):
Schwieger was found guilty of five counts of driving while prohibited or with a suspended license, for incidents in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John between February of 2022 and April of 2023.
Schwieger was sentenced to a total of 27 days in jail, as well as jail time served. They were also issued four $500 fines, four three-year driving prohibitions, and a $75 victim surcharge.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentences, June 12th:
Emma Lynne Franks (born 1985):
Franks was issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for an assault charge issued over an incident in Chetwynd, B.C. on July 20th, 2023. If they break the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay a $500 fine.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentences, June 14th:
Madison Grace Young (born 1991):
Young was found guilty of five counts of breaching a release order and one count of wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer, for incidents in Fort St. John between January and May of 2024.
Young was sentenced to a total of 107 days in jail and was issued five one-year probation orders and five forfeitures, which allow the government to seize property and assets “tainted” by crime.
