UPDATE: Vehicle fire on Taylor Bridge causes major traffic delays on Highway 97

An apparent vehicle collision on the Taylor bridge is causing traffic delays in both directions.

UPDATE (1:54 p.m., June 13th) : this story has been updated to recognize a return to regular traffic flow.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – An apparent vehicle collision on the Taylor bridge is causing traffic delays in both directions. 

Madonna Saunderson, a media relations officer with North District RCMP, stated that information is currently limited.

“It appears that there is a vehicle fire on the bridge and traffic has been impacted,” Saunderson said. 

DriveBC highwayCams show traffic was stopped in both directions up Highway 97, but has since returned to regular flow.
