FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Fire Department responded to a brush fire at Toboggan Hill Park on Tuesday, June 11th evening.

Deputy Fire Chief Matt Troiano explained the fire was put out in an hour, with seven firefighters and two fire trucks reporting to the scene.

“[Firefighters] arrived on scene and saw some smoke in the woods, accessed it and [believed] that there was perhaps someone that was camping in the woods there and the fire got out of control and picked up into the rest of the brush,” Troiano said.
