Fort St. John RCMP search for two suspects after June 1st break-in

Two suspects allegedly broke into Fort Bowling Lanes on June 1st, and Fort St. John RCMP officers believe it’s related to another incident in town.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Two suspects allegedly broke into Fort Bowling Lanes on June 1st, and Fort St. John RCMP officers believe it’s related to another incident in town.

Police say they received a report of a break-and-enter alarm at 11:20 p.m. on the first. Two individuals were seen on surveillance using a prybar to break into the main glass entry doors.

According to police, the suspects went on to steal a backpack full of liquor from the premises before leaving. Police believe the suspects are a male and female youth.

The first suspect wore a black hoodie with writing on the left chest area and a large, white-and-red logo on the back. They had a ball cap, grey pants, and black shoes with white soles.

Meanwhile, the second suspect wore a grey “Crooks and Castles” hoodie with a black logo on the sleeves, a ball cap, blue jeans with ripped knees, and dark shoes.

Officers believe the two suspects were also involved in a mischief incident at the BC Liquor Store on 100th Street shortly before the break-in at the bowling alley was reported.

“The two suspects attempted to use a fire extinguisher to break the glass of the main entry door, which failed and triggered the alarm,” a press release from the RCMP reads. “The suspects then fled the scene.”

Officers say the investigation is ongoing, and are urging anyone with information that could help identify the suspects to call the Fort St. John RCMP detachment at 250-787-8100.
