FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed out from the Fort St. John provincial court from May 7th to May 11th.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, May 13th:

Jacob Junior Bisenberger (born 2000):

Bisenberger was found guilty of one count of theft $5,000 or under, two counts of possessing stolen property $5,000 or under, and two counts of assault, for incidents in Fort St. John between August and December of 2022.

Bisenberger was issued two suspended sentences, where the accused is given conditions to follow. They’ve also been issued two 18-month probation orders, and were sentenced to jail time served.

Tiffany Ashley Pruden (born 1987):

Pruden was issued a recognizance after the allegation for one count of causing fear of injury or damage to a person or property, for an incident in Fort St. John on April 2nd, 2023. They were given conditions to follow for the next 12 months.

Steven Donald Nelson (born 1981):

Nelson was found guilty of one count of driving a motor vehicle without due care and attention for an incident in Fort St. John on January 24th, 2023. 

Nelson was issued a one-year driving prohibition, a $200 fine, and a one-year probation order. They were also made to pay a $300 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping victims of a crime.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, May 16th:

Rebecca Marie Mackinnon (born 1992):

Mackinnon was issued a recognizance after the allegation for one count of assault for an incident in Fort St. John on December 23rd, 2023. They were given conditions to follow for the next 12 months.

Haeden Joseph Nickerson (born 1994):

For one count of sexual assault for an incident in Fort St. John on May 8th, 2022, Nickerson was issued an 18-month conditional sentence, which is a sentence to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called “house arrest.”

Nickerson was also issued an 18-month probation order, a $100 victim surcharge, and were ordered to report for mandatory DNA sample collection.
