Wildfire discovered near Farmington

A new wildfire north of Dawson Creek is burning out of control, according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — A new wildfire north of Dawson Creek is burning out of control, according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).

The 0.5-hectare fire was discovered May 10th east of Farmington, a community 24 kilometres northwest of Dawson Creek.

BCWS lists the suspected cause of the fire as human activity.
