KELLY LAKE, B.C. — The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) has launched a survey seeking public input on enhancing security and safety at the Kelly Lake Transfer Station.
The survey was initiated on May 2nd and will be available until May 15th, 2024.
According to the district, the survey provides residents the opportunity to share their ideas on how to make the Kelly Lake location more secure.
Questions in the survey include safety and security ideas, how often residents use the station, their satisfaction with its location, how far they travel, the kind of waste disposed of, and more.
Once the survey closes, staff will review the feedback and present the findings to the regional board on May 30th, 2024.
The PRRD closed the transfer station in late April to develop a mitigation strategy after several break-ins over the last two years.
The survey can be found here.
