Fort St. John Rotary Ribfest returns July 12th to 14th

Rotary Ribfest is set to return to Fort St. John this summer for the fourth straight year.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Rotary Ribfest is set to return to Fort St. John this summer for the fourth straight year.

The city’s two Rotary Clubs are again partnering to host the annual event from July 12th to 14th, with help from sponsor Surerus Pipelines.

According to the Rotary Club of Fort St. John’s website, the event raises money for Fort St. John Rotary, Sunrise Rotary, and “our many community projects” in Fort St. John and the North Peace.

Food will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the 12th and 13th and from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the 14th.

Bone Daddy’s BBQ, Billy Bones BBQ Canada, Blazin’ BBQ and Buckeye BBQ are all set to return from last year, alongside other food trucks serving fries, bloomin’ onions and mini doughnuts.

Organizers also say ice cream treats will be sold by the Fort St. John EarlyAct club, and the North Peace Historical Society will sell pie.

Food donations will also be collected at the event for the Salvation Army Food Bank.

The event will feature live musical performances from several local artists and, on July 14th, a rib contest and a 50/50 draw.

Fort St. John is one of three stops in B.C. on the 2024 Western Canada Rib Fest Tour. From July 26th to 28th, the tour will also stop in Fort Nelson and Dawson Creek.
