Kelly Lake Transfer Station temporarily closed

The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) has temporarily closed a transfer station at 280 Kelly Lake Road.

KELLY LAKE, B.C. — The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) has temporarily closed a transfer station at 280 Kelly Lake Road.

The Kelly Lake Transfer Station closed last Friday, April 19th, and will remain closed until further notice. 

The closure will allow the PRRD to develop a mitigation strategy after several break-ins over the last two years.

According to a PRRD press release, “The PRRD would like to thank the public for their cooperation while these options are being strategized.” 

The nearest alternate depots are the Tomslake Transfer Station at 15093 Old Edmonton Highway and the Dawson Creek Transfer Station at 829 Highway 49.
