The Fort St John & District Palliative Care Society is letting the public know that we will be set up at the upcoming trade show and is offering an Advanced Care Planning workshop this month.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St John & District Palliative Care Society is letting the public know that we will be set up at the upcoming trade show and is offering an Advanced Care Planning workshop this month.
The society is a nonprofit organization committed to providing FREE services with supportive, compassionate care to persons with life-threatening and/or terminal illnesses and to supporting people caring for or grieving the loss of a loved one.
The FSJ Palliative Care Society has booked a booth at the upcoming FSJ Trade Show, which will be held from April 12th to 14th.

If you have questions about our society and the things we are involved in, we invite you to drop by our booth and have a conversation with us. Our booth number is # 10 on the main floor.
Advanced Care Planning is a way for your wishes to be expressed when you are no longer capable of speaking for yourself.
The FSJ Palliative Care Society is offering a two-session workshop on Advanced Care Planning. While there are many facets to Advanced Care Planning, this workshop will focus on the My Voice advanced care planning document offered by the BC Ministry of Health.

Latest Stories
The first session will be offered on April 16th at Northern Lights College from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and the second session will be offered on May 21st, again at the college.

The FSJ Palliative Care Society also offers:
- Volunteers to visit and spend time with people who are palliative.
- Four palliative suites at the regional hospital in Fort St. John for people in the hospital who are palliative.
- A hospital bed loaner program for people who would like to spend their final days at home with family.
- Grief support programs for people who have experienced loss in their lives.
- Educational opportunities for people to learn about palliative care issues in Fort St. John.
