UPDATE: Emergency crews respond to car crash at 86th Street-89th Avenue intersection

UPDATE: The Fort St. John Fire Department has provided more information on the incident.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The intersection between 86th Street and 89th Avenue is open again after a two-vehicle collision.

According to Matt Troiano, deputy chief of the Fort St. John Fire Department, emergency crews were called to the scene after a crash involving a pickup truck and a car near the intersection at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Troiano can’t provide details on how many people were in each vehicle, but he says the injuries reported are minor, and nobody was taken to hospital.

“Our crews remained on scene until tow trucks arrived, cleared the vehicles, and we left the scene at twenty after 9:00,” Troiano says.

According to RCMP Media Relations Officer Madonna Saunderson, the investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
