Behind the Scenes

While we write a lot of different types of stories, some of the more fun ones we get to do is when we highlight the community. There are a lot of awesome people that live in the area that deserve to be recognized for their hard work and persistence. For the past couple of years, we have had the Co-op Community Champion​ and the Northern Vision Care Youth Athlete of the Month​. Now, we have a new monthly highlight: Bold Women!

It’s always interesting to see what the readers of Energeticcity.ca are most curious about. Sometimes it’s a big decision that will impact property taxes, and sometimes it’s a new restaurant coming to town. Here are the most-read stories for the week of March 24 to 30, 2024:

  1. Dawson Creek Fire Department Battles Saturday Night Blaze: on March 23, 2024. An unresponsive individual was also discovered at the scene and was transported to the Dawson Creek hospital.​
  2. Court Report: for the Fort St John and Dawson Creek provincial courts on March 18 and 19, 2024.
  3. Fort St John Council Supports Mayor Hansen Taking a Leave of Absence:​ following a personal loss. It’s unclear when Hansen will return to council meetings at this time.
