Mighty Peace Brewing seeks to extend hours of liquor service

The City of Fort St. John released a notice of intent stating Mighty Peace Brewing Co. has applied for a change to hours of liquor service.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The City of Fort St. John released a notice of intent stating Mighty Peace Brewing Co. has applied for a change to hours of liquor service at its establishment. 

Located at 10128 95th Avenue, the local brewery’s current hours of operation are 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Wednesday to Friday and 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday. 

According to the notice of intent, the proposed hours of operation are Sunday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.

“The proposed application would allow [Mighty Peace Brewing Co.] the ability to provide liquor service for two additional hours each evening to accommodate requests from the community,” the notice states. 

The city is accepting comments from residents and business owners located within a 0.8-kilometre radius of Mighty Peace Brewing Co. 

Comments can be submitted by mail or hand-delivering a letter to city hall at 10631 100th Street, Fort St. John, B.C., V1J 3Z5. Letters should be addressed to Deputy Corporate Officer Christina Brace.

Comments can also be submitted to legistlativeservices@fortstjohn.ca.

Letters must be received on or before April 16th, with the sender’s name and residential or business address included. 

Comments may be made available to the applicant or government officials where disclosure is necessary to administer the licence application process. 

Petitions will not be considered.
