Fort St John Today: International Women’s Day

Hi everybody,

This Friday is International Women’s Day! Starting in 1911​, this day was established “to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.” Fort St John and the surrounding area are home to many wonderful women who have helped make this region a great place to live, so here are a few ways you can celebrate the women in your life. 

100.1 Moose FM is holding the Fort St John Co-op Women of FSJ​ contest this week until March 8. Right now, nominated women are receiving gifts provided by women-owned businesses to show our appreciation for their efforts. 

We are also excited to announce the new monthly giveaway: Bold Women, powered by Bold Promotions! Each month, we will be highlighting a woman in the community who is always unafraid to be bold. You can submit your nomination here.
