Deputy Fire Chief Matt Troiano says the department responded to the report just after 6 a.m. He says seven firefighters extinguished the fire and were on the scene for approximately 30 minutes.

According to Troiano, the case was turned over to the local RCMP.

Quidlat took to Facebook to share surveillance videos of the two people stopping at his truck.

He also shared a video of the damage done to his truck.

“If they don’t get caught, they will keep doing it to everyone. Be careful,” Quidlat wrote in a social media post.

According to Corporal Madonna Saunderson with the North District RCMP, the investigation has concluded due to insufficient evidence to proceed with an investigation.

“However, should more information become known to us, [we’d] certainly revisit the investigation,” Saunderson said.
