TAYLOR, B.C. — Highway 97 has reopened to traffic after being closed for several hours on Friday due to a motor vehicle incident on the South Taylor Hill.

The highway near Pingel Creek Road, three kilometres south of Taylor, was closed at 7:33 p.m. on February 23rd before opening to single-lane alternating traffic at 10:51 p.m., according to DriveBC.

The road was cleared at 11:27 p.m.

In photos of the incident on Facebook, it appears a vehicle with a trailer had collided with a pickup truck, blocking the entire road.

The exact cause of the incident hasn’t been confirmed by officials at the scene, such as RCMP.

It is unknown if anyone was injured in the collision.
