FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A report of an unsecured firearm in a vandalized truck was later determined to be a BB gun over the weekend.

On the morning of February 18th, the Fort St. John RCMP received a report of an unsecured firearm in a vandalized pickup truck in the area of 106th Street and 111th Avenue.

According to police, the vehicle had smashed windows and slashed tires.

The firearm was determined to be a BB gun, and the owner was warned to store it as if it were a real weapon.

The RCMP is continuing to investigate the mischief to the vehicle.
